Aslan headline Joy In The Park 2024 at Fitzgerald Park, Cork City as huge crowds turn out for the festival's third edition. Not even Cork being in the All Ireland Hurling final was going to stop the Joy In The Park Festival from going ahead and with a midday start the Mardyke venue was already thronged, all out to enjoy the entertainment. In partnership with Cork Mental Health Foundation, Joy In The Park is a celebration of life, whilst highlighting the importance of minding our mental health and well-being through bringing the community together and finding Joy through music, spoken word, storytelling, family entertainment, circus, workshops, wellness activities alongside a delicious food market. The 2024 event was opened by Asylum Seeker, Deputy Lord Mayor of Cork, and Brendan McCarthy CEO of Cork Mental Health. Grey skies and the threat of rain which eventually came near the end was NOT allowed to overshadow the festivities. Apart from Aslan who headlined on the main 'John McCarthy Stage' a quality lineup of artists entertained throughout the day including Paddy Casey and his daughter Saoirse, Wasps vs Humans, Cork band The Service, Ger Wolfe, 49th North Street, Cormac Lally, Molly O'Mahony, Jack O'Rourke, Polly Barrett, Eccentric Hatter's Crew, Kinderama, Those Two Idiots plus many more.
