King Kong Company home fans were treated to a BARE-CHESTED, No-Holds-Barred, Spine-Tingling performance on Friday night at BankLane Waterford. The Waterford-based dance band were in town for a special home show as they gear up for a Summer of Festival outings. As with every King Kong Company gig, ALL five of your senses are invigorated in an explosion of sound, sight and touch! BUT this band goes that EXTRA leap where you can smell and taste the MUSIC!
The night was opened with a Bang by hip-hop, rapper and songwriter Flexx Carter (aka Cian Walsh). The young up-and-coming artist got the party ROCKING early with powerful rhymes and infectious beats. During his set, Flexx was joined on stage by Ellen Quilty for a duet of their recently released single "Take Care".

As the clock ticked towards 10.30 pm the lights dimmed and a shock wave of sound emanated from the stage. Band members sporting their usual LED gorilla masks, a BARE-CHESTED human gorilla (No name mentioned), flag bearing masked dancer, a silver sparkling helmeted dancer, a fist-pumping athletic boxhead, a stormtrooper wielding a smoke cannon and a choreographed dancing robot. All par for the course at a King Kong Company gig. The songs, the sounds, the lasers and the lighting are crafted for a live show and the legends of the South East did not disappoint, delivering a no-holds-barred set that had all in attendance transfixed by their sonic boom.
