Kingfishr raises the roof at Cork City Hall! With their own brand of Indie/folk, coupled with elements of spoken word and powerful vocals, the Limerick-based three-piece's meteoric rise to fame continues to rollercoaster. The trio were Leeside at Cork City Hall last night for the first of two shows and another installment of raw emotional energy that encapsulates their live performance. Highlights of the show included Ed's introduction of the band and a huge cheer for Corkonian Fitz (Eoin Fitzgibbon) as it was a special home gig for him. Early in the set the live version of the recently released 'The Saviour', The singing of 'Killeagh' where all three lads came to the front of the stage, the encore which included 'Headlands', 'Fisherman's Blues', and 'Caroline' BUT the standout of the show was 'Shot In The Dark' which saw Ed, "McGoo", and "Fitz" come down into the crowd and being lit by the light of the audience phones.
Support on the night was from the Dublin band WineMom.
