Neon Atlas frontman Kieran Ring releases new song from his upcoming solo project
Kieran Ring's solo venture
With his first solo project in the works, Kieran Ring, frontman of the band Neon Atlas, releases a new song called 'Ghost'. The track is part of his upcoming record with the same name.
'Ghost' is the third single from Kieran Ring's first solo project, following the previously released 'The Sweetest Kill' and 'Girl Optimist'. It combines a haunting electronic sound with a feeling of nostalgia and summer vibes, creating an interesting mixture of different atmospheres.
Ring himself says about the song: "'Ghost' is about trying to free yourself of the mistakes/regrets of a previous relationship and not bring them into a new one, but at the same time being worried about history repeating, hence the line 'there's a ghost in your look of blame'. There is an element of being haunted by the past in the song, having flashbacks to the previous relationship".
After finding success in the UK and Ireland with the four-piece Neon Atlas, the Cork-based singer-songwriter began working on solo material in late 2018. His new recordings draw inspiration from bands such as The Radio Dept., Passion Pit and Wild Nothing.
