Paul Butler is and will always remain a rocker at heart. The Waterford native's music career has taken him full circle from Waterford and back again via Los Angeles, London, and Sydney, seen him play in three bands Neuro, ID (‘Imperial Delusions), and Propeller Palms, and rub shoulders with Phil Lynott and Michael Hutchence. Propeller Palms has been his latest project since 2010 after teaming up with guitarist James O’Halloran, drummer Peter Sauvage, and bassist Deedo Dunphy.
As Paul described in his 2012 hotpress interview with Olaf Tyaransen, "Although they made a good sound, the decision was quickly made to add some gloss and finesse. Propeller Palms became a ten-piece. It’d be much easier to just have a four-piece, but I always envisioned female backing vocalists so Susan [O’Neill], Michelle [Haberlin], and Aisling [Brown] came on board. And then Ed [O’Neill], Michael [Quinlan] and Brendan [Long] came in on brass.”
