Having seriously wowed us last year at Electric Picnic - oh how we'd love to be in Stradbally now - Mike Skinner offers us new Streets music in the shape of the Tame Impala-assisted 'Call My Phone Thinking I'm Doing Nothing Better'. Needless to say it's lead to us diving headfirst into his back catalogue with 'Dry Your Eyes' on 'repeat' for a goodly part of Easter Monday. Magical stuff...

We're loving the look of Sea Fever, a briny Irish thriller in the vein of The Thing and The Abyss, which with its cinematic April 24 release cancelled (boo!) will now be going online this month (yay!). It stars Hermione Corfield who has Star Wars: The Last Jedi on her rapidly expanding CV, Connie Nielsen of Wonder Woman renown and Dougray Scott who we adored in Batwoman.

"For marine biology student Siobhan, it was supposed to be a research excursion with a trawler crew fishing the West Irish seas," we're told. "But when they hit an unseen object and become marooned, a mysterious parasite infects their water supply. Soon the oozing force infiltrates the entire vessel and turns Siobhan’s journey into a claustrophobic fight for survival. We're guessing "yes" but you'll have to watch to find out for sure...

The Sky At Night's brilliant 'You're So Cool' is getting a Bandcamp re-release with all proceeds going to Pieta House who, like many charities, have seen a dramatic downturn in donations due to the Covid-19 crisis. Originally released in 2013, the Kilkenny duo's 'sort of lullaby' is the textbook definition of starkly beautiful.

If you're in the mood for a good footy book, Dublin-based journo James Hendicott has made his CONIFA: Football For The Forgotten tome available for just 99p this week on Kindle.
It tells the story of the alternative World Cup for countries like Tibet, Northern Cyprus, Cascadia and Abkhazia who aren't recognised internationally and are therefore prevented from joining FIFA. Eminently stranger than fiction, we read it in the one sitting.
