It was a throwback to the 1980s and 90s on Saturday night at Winterval Waterford Big Top LIVE! with hip-hop, electronic dance, and alternative rock as revered bands Stereo MCs and EMF had the Marquee in Brown's Lane ROCKING. From the now cult heroes you listen to the music that’s been recorded, re-mastered, and re-mixed BUT it’s always the live setting that’s the Gold Standard, and both groups delivered in spades. Stereo MCs frontman Rob Birch (Rob B) and audience cheerleader made the stage his own in a wonderful set that turned back the years. This was backed up by Nick Hallam on the all-important decks and laptops, Cath Coffey on backing vocals and dance moves, and Tansay Omar all round percussionist. It was an ‘Unbelievable' night of indie/rave combo as the acclaimed and highly honored EMF were special guests and kicked off the party.
