The Coronas rip it up at Cyprus Avenue.
What a show, what a performance, what a gig! The Coronas owned Cyprus Avenue, they owned Caroline St, in fact, they owned Cork City! Like a fine wine, this band just keeps getting better and better. Danny O'Reilly and the gang were in town for the first of four gigs at Cyprus Avenue and they ripped it up!
With a set that contained 20 songs beginning with 'Just Like That', ending with 'San Diego Song' but in between the lucky audience saw the Dublin band on top form with Danny going walkabout into the audience (I even think he had a drink at the bar), Róisín O taking over the stage, a three-piece for 'Dreaming Again' and 'Heroes', and Cian McSweeney from Cork band True Tides (who joined the band for the gig) coming out front to sing with Danny. By the end of the night, Danny even forgot how many members were in the band! The only thing left to say... bring on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night!
