The Rebel County welcomed Brian Warfield, Noel Nagle, and Tommy Byrne for one last blast before the renowned rebel band The Wolfe Tones hang up their instruments. It was a retirement party of a different kind however as a sold-out Virgin Media Park sang every word with the legendary trio. The celebration also brought the curtain down on the summer series of events at Musgrave Park. The night got underway with the Dublin bands Ispíní na hÉireann and The Scratch and the crowd were in fine voice as the Sharon Shannon Big Band took the stage. During Sharon's set, she was joined by Imelda May and Mundy for duets of 'Rainy Night in Soho' and 'Crazy World'. The party got into full swing when the Tones took the stage in a blaze of Green, White, and Gold lighting and a tri-colour with Wolfe Tones displayed on a huge screen. The tri-colour was a major theme throughout the arena as it was covered on t-shirts, scarves, and flags. On a night that will be remembered Leeside the three singers took their fans on a trip down memory lane with their most loved songs and the crowd delivered as well with non-stop singing, cheers, and tears from young and old.
