Coldplay open last night's Brit Awards, which saw Taylor Swift win the Global Icon award and Fontaine's D.C. miss out on Best International Group to Haim.
Coldplay opened the 41st Brit Awards with a performance of their new song, ‘Higher Power,’ on a barge in the River Thames in London on Tuesday night.
The performance featured dancing alien holograms, coloured smoke and fireworks whilst a pitch-perfect Chris Martin danced around the stage near the O2 arena. This was the band’s second live performance of the Max Martin-produced track, after they played it on American Idol on Sunday night.
Hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall, the Brit Awards also featured performances from Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, Arlo Parks, Griff, The Weeknd, Headie One with AJ Tracey and Young T & Bugsey, and Elton John with Years & Years. Eight of the 11 categories at this year's BRITs were won by women - check out the full list of winners here.
Coldplay debuted the video 'Higher Power' in space last Friday. French ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet was the first to watch the video aboard the international space station.
