It's no surprise that my favourite sex moment of 2019 was when Ireland came together on twitter to collectively buy a 19th-century ivory dildo. What more could you want from the internet? Shawna Scott, the owner of Sex Siopa, turned to the Irish public to get their help in buying the dildo when it went up for auction. And she was not disappointed. Irish Twitter came together and bought the dildo for €620. And what now? Well, Ireland gets to preserve a key part of its sexual history, which confirms that throughout history, Irish women have been beautiful, creative and intrinsically sexual beings.
