Canadian Religious Leaders Support Gay Marriage
In a marked difference to their American neighbours, Canada’s religious leaders have called for the right to perform same sex marriages. In early April, Christian, Jewish, Muslim and other religious leaders as well as hundreds of worshippers gathered to demonstrate faith-based support for same-sex unions. In Vancouver, Rabbi David Mivasair stated that gay couples were God’s creation and that gay marriage is in accord with God’s will. The Canadian Unitarian church has adopted the position that “homophobia is a sin rather than same-sex marriage.” An enlightened bunch, you might say.

German archaeologists have discovered what they think is the world’s oldest pornographic image. A dig in Saxony has uncovered the remains of two statues depicting a man and woman having sexual intercourse when joined. These statues are around 7,200 years old.
