The Sex o'Clock News and this issue's hot sex tip, with Anne Sexton
Sex makes you smarter
A study released by the Hamburg Medical Research Institute says that regular sexual intercourse invigorates the brain and promotes intelligence. The adrenaline and cortisol hormones that are produced stimulate the grey matter, while the endorphins and serotonin that result from orgasm strengthen self-confidence, giving the body a mental and physical work out.
Frequent ejaculation may protect against prostate cancer
A new study released by the US National Cancer Institute suggests that guys who come often may be protecting themselves from prostate cancer. In a survey of 29,000 healthy men, the study found that frequent ejaculations decrease the concentration of carcinogens which accumulate in prostatic fluid.

Sexton’s Miscellany
There’s nothing like a quiz to probe the depths of your inner psyche. So if you have a few minutes to spare, you might like to find out more about yourself by answering some simple (or not so simple) questions:
• Take the test at www.women.com/games and find out…
Are you boring in bed?
What kind of a goddess are you?
What’s your kissing style?
• Luckily, most of us can establish our gender by simply looking south, but what sex is your brain. Find out at www.bbc.co.uk/science/humanbody/
• Just how deviant are you? If you know the answers to more than half the questions at the www.deviantdesires.com quiz, you certainly are.
• But my personal favourite has got to be the ‘Sexxx or Something Else?’ quiz at wwww.modestypanel.com. See if you can tell from the pictures if the people photographed are having sex or doing something else. It’s not as easy as you’d think. Be warned though, it’ll put you off taking your own action shots forever.
Nice work if you can get it
• There are men in Guam whose full-time job it is to travel the countryside and deflower young virgins, who pay them for the privilege of having sex for the first time. Under the law in Guam, it is forbidden for virgins to marry.
• A widow in Paramaribo, Suriname, who plans to remarry is required by law to first make love with a man. The statute even specifies who should be her bed partner: a member of her deceased husband’s immediate family
• Women can sell items and be topless in Liverpool, England—but only in tropical fish stores.
Music
Beyoncé’s ‘Naughty Girl’ is all over the radio at the moment and rightly so. It could have been incredibly cheesy, but Beyoncé great vocals, and the Donna Summer sample’s give this track a slinky, sexy edge.

Pillow Passion
Great sex is not just about positions; it’s also about getting the approach right. That’s right, we’re talking about getting the proper direction(s) before you set off on your journey to orgasmic bliss – mark my word, it makes a difference. The angle of the erection in relation to the woman’s pelvis determines what spots the bloke will make contact with and stimulate – and how tightly he’ll feel gripped. The effect coming in from the rear, doggie-style, is very different from the missionary position. If you want to try some subtle adjustments, no matter what the position, help is at hand from your handy household pillow. Pillows can be used to prop up either partner’s butt or pelvis, depending on the position. Experiment with different heights and sizes to see what works best for you. It’s a simple manoeuvre, but it’s effective – and can make all the difference in terms of the pleasure count.
