Same-Sex Marriages for Canada
The Canadian government has introduced a bill to legalise same-sex marriages. Although same-sex marriages are already legal in several provinces, the proposed law is still controversial. The issue has split the governing Liberal Party – and Roman Catholic Muslim and Orthodox Jewish groups have joined forces to oppose the bill.
Cardinal Okays Condoms
A leading Catholic cardinal and close friend of the Pope, Georges Cottier, has indicated that condoms might have a role to play in stopping the spread of Aids. This is in direct opposition to the Church’s view that sex should only take place within marriage and with the possibility of creating new life. Furthermore, the Catholic Church faced international condemnation last year when it was revealed that priests in Africa had been teaching parishioners that condoms were useless against the spread of sexually transmitted disease. Despite this, Cottier has said that he believes that in certain circumstances, condom use was not about preventing the creation of new life, but preventing the death of a sexual partner. When Spanish bishops expressed a similar opinion earlier this year, they were condemned by papal authorities.

THIS ISSUE'S TOP SEX TIP: Hand's On
Although generally quite adept at playing with themselves, all men are happy for you to lend a hand. Indeed a good hand job/blow job double act, allied to lots of other simultaneous visual pleasures of course, is something greatly to be desired. Now, some women are not very fond of giving hand jobs. This is often because they feel unsure of what they are doing. And if you’re getting it wrong, but are still determined to get your bloke to the finishing line, it can be murder on the old elbow.

There are many techniques that can be used for a successful hand job. But here are a few easy ones for the dextrally challenged:
• Make a ring around the top of the penis using your index finger and thumb. Use a firm grip so that the head of the penis pops through your fingers. For extra sensation, use your tongue as well.
• Lubricate your hands and hold your partner’s penis firmly. Don’t move, but allow your partner to thrust into them, letting him control the pace.
• The most sensitive parts of the penis are at the top. These are the head, the ridge at the base of the head and the frenulum – the V-shaped fold of tissue that runs from the ridge from the shaft to the head. Concentrate on these areas. Lubricate them well, and massage them with the palm of your hand.
And remember, lubricant is every girl’s best friend.
