XXX Domain for Porn Sites
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has announced that it has agreed to a new domain identification specifically for porn websites – dot-xxx. The new domain will be for adult content sites that volunteer to adhere to a set of responsible industry practices, including ensuring their sites feature no minors. Unlike dot-com address, dot-xxx sites will no longer need to include a warning about the sexually explicit nature of their contents. The new domain name has been greeted as a step forward in protecting under-18s from Internet porn as the dot-xxx domain will make it easier for parents to filter out adult sites.

Christian Church to Approve Same-Sex Marriage
While it could be decades before the Catholic Church recognizes gay partnerships, if indeed it ever does, the United Church of Christ (UCC) has approved a resolution that looks at endorsing same-sex marriages and non-traditional relationships in the near future. The UCC’s resolution will not only sanction gay and lesbian relationships, but those between bisexual and transgender couples as well. Should the endorsement be passed, the UCC would become the largest Christian church to authorize gay marriages. However, although the church’s assembly passed the resolution with overwhelming support, UCC congregations are autonomous. These means individual churches will be able to decide for themselves whether or not to support same-sex marriage.
