Accept no imitations
Although it’s not recommended, it's no secret that many young Irish men have experimented with Viagra. Since it’s doubtful that a doctor prescribed most of these pills, chances are good that they were obtained over the Internet. However, according to the Irish Medicines Board (IMB), many of these pills are fakes and some contain no Viagra at all. Experts at Dublin City University have warned that medicines bought over the web can be dangerous and it is strongly advised that you don’t do so. In 2005, the IMB seized over 2300 counterfeit Viagra pills and thousands of defective condoms. You have been warned.
Sex is better than death
A study by Chorus, the cable television provider, found that more than half of all Irish people find sex on reality TV to be acceptable. According to the article reported in the Sunday Independent most Irish people would object to seeing a medical operation or somebody dying on television, but less than half of us, and only a third of 16 – 29 year olds object to real life sex being relayed into our living rooms.
No sex please, we’re relaxing
It’s been a running joke for years that our neighbours, the Brits, are not that fond of sex, and if a survey by Real Holiday Reports is to believed, it may well be true. According to the survey, 45% of British holidaymakers reckon that the most enjoyable holiday activity is relaxing, while only 24% chose sex. A very disappointing result, indeed.

• In 1992, a man in Denver applied for a licence to marry his horse.
• In the early 1980s, a man in LA was arrested for crawling under library tables to paint the women’s toenails.
