IRREGULAR SEX BAD FOR WOMEN’S HEALTH
Well, there’s good news and bad news. The Psychology Today website reports that regular sex is good for women and sex at least once a week optimizes fertility and endocrine health. So far, so good. The bad news is that if regular sex is not possible, it’s better to abstain from sex altogether. Sporadic sex drives hormones wild, sending oestrogen to lower lows, and higher highs than celibacy. These hormonal lows can be a factor in bone loss, depression and heart disease. Worse still, a committed relationship with your favourite vibrator is of no use – it’s not the orgasm but the presence of another person that keeps the hormones happy. Give up your bachelor-girl ways or find a ‘special’ friend – your bones will thank you for it. Apparently!
NO MORE KISSING CHASE IN THE SCHOOLYARD
A school in Maryland, USA has issued a reprimand to the parents of a five-year-old boy, claiming the little chap is guilty of sexual harassment for pinching a classmate’s bum. The parents, naturally enough, dispute the charge, claiming that their child is too young to understand the concepts of sex and sexual harassment. If that wasn’t bad enough, a school principal in Texas suspended a four-year-old for sexually harassing a teacher’s aide. His crime? He hugged her and his face connected with her chest. Hysterical overreaction, ya think?
THE HOOHAA MONOLOGUES
The name may have been good enough for Kate Winslet to take part, but a Florida theatre has decided to rename the Vagina Monologues the Hoohaa Monologues. The decision was taken in response to a complaint from a woman, who was offended after her niece asked her what a vagina is. Hoohaa is apparently child’s slang for the offensive female part. Unsurprisingly, the play’s author, Eve Ensler, is not impressed.

You gotta hand it to him – with more than 1,750 adult movies to his credit, The Hardest (Working) Man In Showbiz is probably a fair enough title for Ron Jeremy’s memoir. This memoir, detailing Jeremy’s exploits as he pursued his desire to be taken seriously as an actor, was released in paperback this February and can be purchased from Amazon UK for £7.79 (www.amazon.co.uk).
