“We’re cooking with good vibes only,” says the American country singer and guitarist.
American country musician Willie Nelson and his wife, Annie Nelson, have announced the release of a new cannabis cookbook filled with “delicious and easy” recipes, due to arrive on November 12 via Gallery Books.
Back in 2019, Nelson revealed that he had quit smoking marijuana due to ongoing health concerns, however edibles weren’t off the table. Now, the country star has teamed up with his wife to create 256 pages of “cannabis-infused delicacies” born of Nelson’s “gift for storytelling and herbal remedies [and] his wife Annie’s passion for home-cooked meals,” according to the book’s official description.
“In the Nelson family’s first-ever cookbook, we’re cooking with good vibes only,” the description continues. “Drawn from their favourite meals on nationwide tours, at the ranch, at home, and in their favourite cities along the way, these recipes have stories to tell – and what better way to enjoy a good meal than with a high-flying tale and a relaxing buzz?
“Each recipe provides a cannabis kick to ease the mind as much as the body, making their cookbook an exciting, comforting, and lively way to dive into their story, as they draw from meals shared with family, friends, and fans alike.”

The cookbook is set to feature a series of simple recipes for Buffalo wings, chocolate cake, fried chicken and more, alongside a full chapter of cannabis-infused base ingredients such as butter, finishing oil, simple syrups, sugars, salts and tinctures.
Willie & Annie Nelson’s Cannabis Cookbook will come as the singer’s third published release following his New York Times bestselling memoirs Willie: An Autobiography (1988) and The Facts Of Lice And Other Dirty Jokes (2003).
Nelson was recently featured on Beyonce’s latest studio album Cowboy Carter, with the song ‘Smoke Hour’, and next month will see the country icon embark on his North American Outlaw Music Festival Tour with Bob Dylan.
