(24/100 The People's Choice)
Alex Kraus, hotpress.com/ www.zombieguide.com:
"When I first heard Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We? at the tender age of 12, I knew immediately that there was something unique and rare in that synthesis of jingling guitars and Dolores O’Riordan’s hushed yet ethereal vocals – not that I knew how to describe it at the time. Gems like ‘Linger' and ‘Sunday’ are peerless in their portrayal of earnest, pleading – if not a bit naive – love. In fact, it’s that hint of the pain of inexperience and youth that makes Everybody Else… so endearing. It is the pain of rejection, lost love, and learning life’s bitter lessons for the first time that permeate this album. A few years later and not only is it still one of my favourites, I’m now running The Cranberries’ largest fan website in the world. It’s just a small thank-you for the impact that the band and their albums have had on my life."
