Electric Picnic has just announced the line-up at its two woodland stages: the Salty Dog and the Trenchtown
EP has just announced the Salty Dog Shipwrecked Stage and the Jamaican Trenchtown stage, running from the Friday (August 31) to the Sunday (September 2) deep in the woods of Stradbally.
The Salty Dog stage, emerging from fallen masts and scattered rigging, will provide a mix of of sea shanties, bluegrass, blues and rock including the entire crew from Bellowhead fresh from the main stage, Ham Sandwich and Tieranniesaur.
Also on deck will be Cork bluegrass group Two Time Polka, Morton Valance, Lois and the Love, Black Friday, percussionist Simon Spoons, The Niall Toner Band, newcomers Shannon and the Shortcuts, soul chick Bronagh Gallagher, Aussie-based duo Hat Fitz and Cara and Pete Pamf Sextette (complete with a top secret line up of big names), Pervish as well as Jerry Fish, The Cujo Family and The Mighty Stef.

Also hidden in the forest is Trenchtown, the original reggae village at the the Picnic. This year's celebration of the 50 years of Jamaica’s independence 2012 is set to be the biggest Trenchtown Party yet with live music, sound systems, dance, art, performance, food and film in our on-site Cinema.

The live reggae, roots, ska, dub & dancehall line up includes: The Barley Mob, Skazz, Pressure Drop, The Bionic Rats & The Dirty Dubsters, special guests from Jamaica with Jigzsaw, Kool de Roy & Dj Floydacide linking up our islands. More to be announced.
By day, Trenchtown is the place for coffee, beach and traditional arts and crafts. By night, it's a party until sunrise.
