Dublin-born trombone player Paddy Sherlock has released the single and video for his latest track 'Those Summers in Dublin.'
The track, the title of which references Bagatelle's 'Summer in Dublin', is described as an ode to Sherlock's younger years as a busker on the Irish capital's famous Grafton Street.
"It’s the story of a man who having spent 40 years away comes back and rediscovers and rekindles his love for his old town," the musician says. "He’s changed. But as he walks through the city, wandering, a bit like Léopold Bloom, he realises to an overwhelming emotion. He’s still part of Dublin and Dublin is still part of him."

Having already brought his show to Ballydehob, Glandore and Clonakilty, Sherlock will be stopping off at this year's Electric Picnic, which he'll follow up with four gigs across various venues in Dalkey from 22-25 August.
Sherlock has built a reputation as a fierce live act as the trombone player for the award-winning French funk band FFF, sharing the stage with the likes of Glen Hansard, David Gilmour, and Mary Black.
After spending years in Paris, the musician says he's "keen to reconnect with his Irish audience and community", with a an announcement of Irish gigs throughout Autumn and Winter expected soon. Dates and further details can be found here.
